Culinary Schools in Texas

by admin on June 16, 2012

The Lone Star State is known for its citizens and their love of Texas, the Alamo, and Bar-B-Q, Texans also known for their love of food and big meals.  Finding out that there are wonderful culinary schools in Texas was no surprise this me.

Culinary arts programs in Texas offer students a variety of ways to study.  They are offered day, evening and online classes, providing everyone a fair opportunity to learn the trade.  Le Cordon Bleu in Austin, Texas offers their students insight into their program as well as their surroundings.

“According to the National Restaurant Association, the restaurant industry now employs nearly 13 million people and is expected to add two million jobs over the next decade. Nicknamed “The Live Music Capital of the World,” and located in a region rich with culinary tradition, our Austin Culinary school, offers a location with a thriving art, music, and restaurant scene and was recently ranked the second best place to live in the country by both Money* magazine and Men’s Journal.”

Culinary arts programs in Texas offer students numerous scholarships and grants to ensure that the students can not only begin to study but to complete their studies.

  • – Steve Hymans Extended Stay Scholarship
  • – AH&LEF Incoming Freshman Scholarship
  • – Wisconsin Bakers Association Scholarship
  • – The Hyatt Hotels Fund for Minority Lodging Management Students

I’d recommend going to culinary school in Texas if a person was looking for not only a culinary education but a life experience.  Sometimes going to school in a big city and learning about new cultures and new people can be a great adventure, and this is one of those times.
